•  12-15 April 2015 - EFCD2015 - "Electrolysis & Fuel Cell Discussions - Towards zero Pt for the oxygen reduction reaction", International conference - La Grande Motte, France
  • The 2015 edition of the Electrolysis and Fuel Cell Discussions conference is dedicated to ultra-low platinum loading and non-platinum-group metal catalysts, and focuses on oxygen reduction in low temperature fuel cells. It also celebrates the 50th anniversary of Jasinski’s discovery on the activity of cobalt phthalocyanine, which paved the way for the class of metal-nitrogen-carbon catalysts. The conference will be the opportunity to present recent results in the field and to discuss the scientific and technological challenges on the way towards zero platinum loading. Invited lectures, oral and poster presentations will provide an international perspective of the most recent research activities in this fast-moving area.
EFCD2015 is chaired by Dr. Deborah Jones and Dr. Frédéric Jaouen, University Montpellier2, CNRS, Montpellier, France.

  •  1st Belux workshop on Coating, Materials, Surfaces and Interfaces, 11-12 September 2014, Belux, Luxembourg
  • The workshop will provide a common ground to address today's challenges and facilitate discussions on improving the state of the art and increasing fundamental insights related to chemical vapor deposition (CVD), atomic layer deposition (ALD), plasma-CVD, epitaxy, chemical etching and surface functionalization. These processes share a common involvement of complex interactions between solid surfaces and reactive species from gaseous and possibly liquid phases. Private and public research in these areas is inherently multidisciplinary and addresses the topic from process development, monitoring and application angles.
